Assam Rifles Hosts Outreach Program for Veterans and Families in Jammu
JAMMU, April 17, 2026:- Assam Rifles recently organized a comprehensive outreach initiative in Jammu dedicated to engaging with Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen (ARESM) and Next of Kin (NOK).
This program served as a vital platform for the force to connect with its extended family, fostering a sense of community while addressing the practical needs of its veterans.
During the event, various grievances were brought forward by participants; many of these issues were resolved immediately by officials on-site, while more complex cases were documented for further action at the Headquarters of the Directorate General Assam Rifles (DGAR).
In addition to administrative support, the drive prioritized the health and well-being of the attendees by providing free medical assistance.
A significant highlight of the gathering was the felicitation of widows, a gesture intended to honor their resilience and the sacrifices made by their families.
The event concluded in a warm, cordial atmosphere with tea and refreshments, reinforcing the unwavering commitment of the Assam Rifles to the long-term welfare and support of its retired personnel and their dependents.
