Minister Javed Rana Addresses Public Grievances and Jal Shakti Issues at Civil Secretariat
Jammu, April 13: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, held a series of meetings at the Civil Secretariat today to address diverse public concerns and sector-specific challenges.
During the session, high-profile legislators, including R. S. Pathania and Khurshied Ahmed, along with various delegations, apprised the Minister of pressing regional issues, specifically focusing on the efficiency of drinking water supply schemes and local forest management.
Among the key stakeholders were representatives from the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Contractors Association, who highlighted significant delays in payments for completed water projects, and a delegation of Water Testing Laboratory employees seeking an enhancement of their honorariums.
Minister Rana provided a patient hearing to all participants, emphasizing his commitment to resolving these grievances. To ensure immediate relief, he issued on-the-spot directives to relevant authorities for the prompt, time-bound resolution of all genuine concerns, reaffirming the government’s priority toward public service and infrastructure development.
