Rajouri Police Crack Down on Drug Trafficking: Four Peddlers Arrested with Heroin in Nowshera

RAJOURI, APRIL 11, 2026— As part of an ongoing intensified campaign to eradicate the drug menace, the Rajouri Police apprehended four suspected drug peddlers during a targeted checkpoint operation in the Nowshera area.

Acting on specific leads, a police team intercepted a Scorpio vehicle (registration No. JK11D 3883) at Lamberi for inspection. Upon searching the vehicle and its occupants, officers recovered approximately 13 grams of a substance appearing to be heroin.

The individuals involved have been identified as Naseem Akram of Rajouri, Waqar Ahmed of Manjakote, Danish Choudhary of Govardhan Bala, and Rameez Raja of Kakora Manjakote.

Following the discovery, the police immediately seized the contraband and arrested all four suspects in accordance with established legal protocols. A formal case, FIR No. 67/2026, has been registered at the Nowshera Police Station under Sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

While further investigations are underway to trace the supply chain, the Rajouri Police have reaffirmed their steadfast commitment to a drug-free society and have called upon the general public to actively share any information regarding narcotics-related activities to aid in their enforcement efforts.
