Major Fire Breaks Out at Jamia Ashraf-ul-Uloom in Srinagar’s Hyderpora; Three Injured as Blaze is Contained
SRINAGAR, APRIL 10, 2026 — A massive fire erupted at the Jamia Ashraf-ul-Uloom in the Hyderpora area of Srinagar on Friday, resulting in injuries to a firefighter and two civilians.
Following the outbreak, fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene to launch an intensive firefighting operation. While the teams successfully brought the flames under control, the incident caused significant distress in the locality.
One fireman sustained injuries during the high-stakes battle to douse the fire, and two civilians were also hurt; all three have been shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, where their conditions are currently being monitored by healthcare professionals.
