Anantnag Police Seize 6 Kg of Charas in Utrasoo Raid; Two Narcotics Dealers Booked

ANANTNAG, APRIL 09: In a major success against drug trafficking, the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a targeted raid in the Patti Sheikhpora area of Utrasoo, resulting in the recovery of 6 kilograms of contraband.

The operation, executed by a team led by SHO Utrasoo under the direct supervision of SDPO Achabal, targeted the residence of Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh. During the search, officers discovered a large quantity of a substance believed to be charas or ganja.

Further investigation at the scene identified another individual, Aadil Latif of Dawoodpora Brah, as a key associate involved in the illegal narcotics trade.Following the recovery, Police Station Utrasoo officially registered a case under the relevant sections of the law.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to trace the origins of the seized drugs and dismantle the broader supply network operating within the region.

Police officials reiterated their unwavering commitment to the “War on Drugs,” emphasizing that strict legal action will continue against anyone found participating in peddling or smuggling activities to ensure a drug-free environment in the Anantnag district.
