Joint Security Forces Conduct Strategic Review and Flag March Ahead of Elections in Chirang, Assam

CHIRANG, April 8, 2026 — In a robust display of inter-agency synergy, senior officers from the CISF Unit IOCL Bongaigaon, CRPF, and local district administration, alongside the Assam Police, conducted a comprehensive security review in Chirang. The joint team meticulously inspected deployment arrangements and essential security infrastructure at the designated strong room location, ensuring that all protocols are in place to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.

This high-level coordination emphasizes the unwavering commitment of the security forces to maintain a peaceful and secure environment for the upcoming elections.

Following the facility inspection, a coordinated flag march was executed by CISF personnel, CRPF units, and Assam Police, supported by district officials and IPS probationers.

The march transitioned through the critical Chapaguri–Bengtol corridors, serving as a visible deterrent and a measure to bolster public confidence.
