LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurates J&K Bank Regional Business Centre in Jammu to Boost Operational Efficiency
JAMMU, April 7, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha officially inaugurated the newly established Regional Business Centre of Jammu Kashmir Bank at the Rail Head Complex in Jammu this Tuesday.
Extending his congratulations to the entire J&K Bank team, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the facility as a significant milestone in the bank’s infrastructure and business expansion strategy.
Designed to serve as a vital operational and administrative hub, the technology-enabled centre aims to deepen market penetration and enhance service delivery through a robust customer interface and modern infrastructure.
During the ceremony, J&K Bank MD and CEO Amitava Chatterjee briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the institution’s strong financial trajectory, noting that the bank’s total business has now surpassed Rs 2.90 lakh crore. Chatterjee emphasized that the commissioning of this centre is a decisive step toward strengthening the bank’s business architecture in a key growth region, ensuring faster decision-making and superior customer service.
The new building is equipped with a currency chest, a state-of-the-art branch, and multiple departmental offices to provide comprehensive backend support.The high-profile inaugural event was attended by a distinguished gathering of officials, including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Mandeep K. Bhandari, and J&K Bank Executive Director Sudhir Gupta.
Also in attendance were J&K Bank Board Directors R.K. Chhibber and Arun Gandotra, along with IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti. The ceremony was further supported by the presence of Chief General Managers, Divisional Heads, and General Managers of the bank, alongside senior representatives from the Industries and various other line departments.
