Security Forces Launch Search Operation After Suspicious Movement Spotted in Samba, J&K
JAMMU, APR 5: Security forces have intensified search operations in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir following reports of suspicious activity involving three unidentified individuals.
The mobilization began early Sunday after a resident of Bedh Khad, located in the Darui area, alerted authorities about seeing three men moving through a dried-up stream under the cover of darkness. One of the individuals was reportedly carrying a heavy backpack, raising concerns among local villagers and security agencies.
While no weapons were explicitly visible during the sighting, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police—supported by the Indian Army and paramilitary forces—treated the report with high priority, suspecting potential terrorist infiltration.
A coordinated cordon and search operation was quickly established to track the suspects across the village and its surrounding rugged terrain.
As of now, officials confirm that the search remains ongoing in the area; however, no contact has been established , and the forces remain on high alert to ensure regional security.
