Sainik School Nagrota Investiture Ceremony: 8 Cadets Join NDA; New Student Leaders Appointed
NAGROTA, April 04, 2026: Sainik School Nagrota marked a significant milestone during its Investiture Ceremony for the 2026–27 academic session, celebrating the induction of eight of its cadets into the prestigious NDA 154 Course.
In a proud moment for the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the school felicitated the parents of achievers Ikhlaq Hassan, Hussain, Pranav Sharma, Aditya Kumar Singh, Prithvi Raj Sambyal, Divyansh Bhardwaj, Piyush Sharma, and Yasir Mukhtar Wani.
As a gesture of appreciation from the Ministry of Defence, an incentive totaling over ₹12 lakh was handed over to the families, recognizing the school’s successful mission of nurturing young leaders from diverse regional backgrounds for the Indian Armed Forces.
The ceremony also featured the formal commissioning of 15 newly appointed student leaders, with Raghav Chib taking the oath as School Captain and Uday Kumar as School Adjutant.
Other key appointments included Adarsh Kumar Tiwari as Sports Captain, Ishan Parihar as Cultural Captain, and Utkarsh Vivek as Band Captain. Addressing the gathering, Principal Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia emphasized that these leadership roles serve as the bedrock for developing integrity and “officer-like qualities.”
The event, attended by proud families and military officials, concluded with a celebration of the school’s enduring legacy in preparing the youth of J&K and Ladakh to contribute to the nation-building process with distinction.
