Kuwait Defense Minister Inspects Kuwait International Airport Following Drone Attack on Vital Fuel Infrastructure

Kuwait City March 26, 2026: In a decisive move to oversee emergency response and national security, Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, conducted an extensive field inspection of Kuwait International Airport this morning following a hostile drone attack targeting critical infrastructure.

The strike specifically aimed at the airport’s aviation fuel supply tanks, triggering a significant fire that necessitated an immediate, large-scale containment operation.

During his visit, the Minister received a comprehensive joint briefing from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Kuwait Fire Force, confirming that while the attack caused substantial material damage, there were fortunately no human casualties reported.
