BJP Conducts VB-G RAM G Workshop in Jammu Border; Highlights ₹1,430 Crore Rain Relief Package
SUCHETGARH JAMMU| January 21, 2026The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir today organized a strategic workshop on the “Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin)” (VB-G RAM G) in the border town of Suchetgarh.
Beyond discussing rural employment, party leaders utilized the platform to highlight the Central Government’s massive ₹1,430 crore relief package, specifically allocated to address the extensive destruction caused by recent incessant rains and flash floods across various districts in the Jammu region.
The workshop, attended by a large number of party workers and local representatives, served a dual purpose: raising awareness about long-term livelihood missions and detailing immediate disaster relief efforts initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led administration.
Addressing the gathering, J&K BJP General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, joined by MLA Suchetgarh Prof. Gharu Ram, described the VB-G RAM G as a cornerstone of the “Viksit Bharat @2047” vision. Billawaria emphasized that the mission is a “strong guarantee of self-reliance,” designed to provide dignified employment, skill development, and durable community assets to rural households that were historically neglected.
He noted that for remote border belts in Jammu and Kashmir, this initiative marks a departure from the “policy paralysis” of the past, ensuring that development reaches the very last mile and empowers villages to act as engines of national progress.
Further reinforcing the government’s commitment to the region, Prof. Gharu Ram praised the federal government for the liberal ₹1,430 crore assistance package. He stated that this funding is a testament to the government’s sensitivity toward families affected by natural calamities, ensuring the rapid restoration of infrastructure and livelihoods.
District President Rinku Choudhary concluded the session by pledging that the party would work tirelessly at the grassroots level to ensure that these welfare measures and relief funds translate into tangible benefits for every household in the Jammu border region.
