Udhampur Administrative Meeting Evaluates Centrally Sponsored Welfare Schemes Progress
UDHAMPUR, July 14, 2026 — Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa chaired a high-level review meeting today with officers from various line departments to evaluate the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and the saturation of individual beneficiary-oriented initiatives across the district.
During the sector-wise assessment, the Deputy Commissioner directed all participating departments to collaborate closely and work with a strong sense of accountability to ensure the effective and timely distribution of welfare benefits to all eligible citizens.
Sherpa instructed officials to intensify public awareness campaigns so that residents remain fully informed about available social security and welfare schemes. He emphasized that these initiatives must be implemented in letter and spirit, while ensuring that essential public services are consistently delivered within their prescribed timelines.
The administration urged the departments to meet their established goals through efficient grassroots execution, noting that regular monitoring is crucial for successful outcomes.To ensure continuous oversight and timely administrative interventions, the Deputy Commissioner ordered all concerned officers to update the progress data of these centrally funded schemes on a monthly basis. The review session concluded with a call for sustained momentum to maximize the reach of government initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Program Officer Poshan Subash Dogra, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, and various other district officers representing multiple government departments.
