Scheduled Power Outages Announced for Several Areas in Jammu Division
KATHUA, July 14, 2026 — The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced scheduled power shutdowns for maintenance and repair work across various areas of the Jammu division starting tomorrow.
According to the Superintending Engineer for the Kathua circle, electricity supply to Chainpura, Moni Mandir, Ujh Barrage, and nearby areas will be temporarily suspended on July 15 and July 16 from 7 am to 11 am.
Additionally, industrial operations and domestic supply in the Industrial Area of Bari-Brahmana and its surrounding localities will face power cuts on both days between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
In Kishtwar district, similar supply disruptions have been scheduled for July 15 to facilitate essential grid works. The Superintending Engineer of the Kishtwar JPDCL circle confirmed that areas including Workshop, Huller Pohie, Sangrambhatta, and adjacent pockets will experience outages from 7 am to 9:30 am.
Following this, the power supply to the Cherhar area and its adjoining neighborhoods will remain affected on the same day, July 15, from 9:30 am to 11 am, and residents have been advised to plan their daily activities accordingly.
Meanwhile, a longer maintenance window has been announced for the Ramban district to carry out comprehensive system upgrades. The Superintending Engineer of the JPDCL Batote circle informed the public that electricity supply to Ranga Mohalla will remain affected on a daily basis from July 15 to July 19.
The daily shutdown in this locality is scheduled to take place from 6 am to 12 noon, and the department has requested the cooperation of the consumers during this temporary maintenance period.
