State Election Commissioner Shantmanu Reviews Panchayat Electoral Roll Revision in RS Pura and Miran Sahib

JAMMU, APRIL 20: State Election Commissioner Shantmanu conducted an extensive tour of the Miran Sahib and R S Pura blocks today to evaluate the progress of special camps organized for the revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls 2026.

During his visit, he inspected several camp locations, including Panchayat Ghar Darsopur, Badyal Brahmana, Rathana, Malikpur, Kotli Mian Fateh, and Government Middle School Nihalpur Simble.

The Commissioner interacted with Panchayat Secretaries, Booth Level Officers, and Panchayat Election Booth Officials to assess the pace of the registration process and examine the status of forms submitted for the inclusion, deletion, correction, and transposition of voter details.

Accompanying the State Election Commissioner were Secretary Susheel Kumar, SDM R S Pura Anuradha Thakur, and other senior officials who monitored the ground-level execution of the revision exercise.

Shantmanu directed the field staff to intensify their outreach efforts to ensure that every eligible citizen is enrolled, emphasizing that a comprehensive electoral roll is essential for strengthening grassroots democracy.

He also met with former PRI members and local residents to gather feedback on the process, reiterating the government’s commitment to facilitating a seamless registration experience and ensuring that no deserving voter is left out of the upcoming electoral process.
