DC Budgam Athar Aamir Khan Reviews Passenger Facilities at Nowgam Railway Station for Amarnath Yatra 2026

BUDGAM, APRIL 20: Deputy Commissioner Budgam Athar Aamir Khan visited the Nowgam Railway Station today to assess existing passenger arrangements and review preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a thorough inspection of the station’s infrastructure and received briefings from various department heads regarding logistics and inter-departmental coordination aimed at ensuring a smooth experience for devotees.

He emphasized the importance of seamless management for the yatris and issued specific directives to enhance facilities such as accessible boarding and deboarding, efficient traffic flow, consistent sanitation, and the availability of clean drinking water and functional washrooms.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by several high-ranking officials, including SP West Srinagar Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDM Chadoora Primrose Bashir, and Joint Director Planning Javeed Ahmad, along with executive engineers and local police leadership.

He instructed the team to prioritize registration facilities and passenger comfort to handle the expected surge in visitors during the pilgrimage season.
