Command Hospital Southern Command Drives Organ Donation Drive in Pune

PUNE, AUGUST 04 :- Command Hospital Southern Command observed Organ Donation Day under the Angdaan Jeevan Sanjeevani Abhiyan in Pune to spread awareness about the life-saving impact of organ donation. The initiative featured expert deliberations on organ transplant awareness and a multidisciplinary interaction aimed at promoting ethical donation practices.

Dr Atul V Mule, Vice Chairman of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Centre Pune, delivered an insightful address alongside presentations by nursing officers to emphasize the critical need for voluntary organ contributions.The event highlighted the hospital’s successful Kidney Transplant Programme and showcased the ongoing efforts of the Armed Forces Medical Services toward compassionate healthcare.

In a poignant gesture, the families of organ donors were felicitated for their selfless contributions to saving lives, reinforcing the military healthcare sector’s commitment to noble public health causes.
