Red Shield Division Honors Veterans and INA Legacy During Commemorative Event in Manipur

Imphal, April 15, 2026:- The Red Shield Division of the Spear Corps recently hosted a distinguished delegation from the Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad in Imphal to mark the historic Indian National Army Flag Hoisting Day.

Held between April 13 and April 14, the two day event served as a significant tribute to the nation’s military heritage and the enduring spirit of the freedom struggle. The visiting delegates engaged in high level interactions with the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, discussing the importance of preserving the legacy of those who served.

This gathering highlighted the deep connection between current military formations and the veteran community in upholding the values of service and sacrifice.As part of the commemorative program, the participants visited the Shantivan War Memorial to pay their respects to the fallen heroes who fought for the country’s independence.

The atmosphere was one of solemn reflection as members of the delegation and the Red Shield Division laid wreaths and honored the memory of the soldiers whose bravery continues to inspire generations.

By bringing together veterans and active duty personnel, the event successfully bridged the gap between the past and present, ensuring that the history of the INA and the sacrifices made in the region remain a central part of the national consciousness.
