Planned Power Outage in Srinagar and South Kashmir: Check Affected Areas and Timings

SRINAGAR JULY 29— The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several key parts of Srinagar and South Kashmir to facilitate necessary maintenance work on major 33 kV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 kV KP Bagh line will remain shut down from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 2, August 5, and August 10, 2026, disrupting electricity supply to KP Bagh, Soiteng PHE, Mehjoornagar, Jawaharnagar, Kursoo, Rajbagh, Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi, and adjoining localities.

Furthermore, a temporary outage from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on August 2, 2026, on the 33 kV Exhibition and Silk Factory lines will affect areas including Exhibition, Baranpanther, Batamaloo, Silk Factory, Allochibagh, Rambagh, LD Hospital, Old Barzullah, Solina, and neighboring pockets.

In South Kashmir, maintenance on the 33 kV Awantipora Tral-1st line and 33 kV Zirpora Tapline on August 1, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM will impact power supply to Chewa, Tral Bala, Bawani, Veeri, Nowbugh, Srigufwara, Kanalwan, Beewora, Darigund, and surrounding villages.
