Navi Mumbai Airport hosts multi agency mock drill to test security preparedness

NAVI MUMBAI, May 29, 2026 – A multi-agency mock exercise simulating an armed attack from external areas bordering the airport premises was conducted at Navi Mumbai Airport.The joint drill was organized to evaluate emergency readiness and responses under high-stress conditions.

Personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force, State Police, Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited Security, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, K9 Squad, Crime Intelligence Wing, Operations team, medical staff, Intelligence Bureau, and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security participated in the operational exercise.

The entire operation was coordinated and supervised by the Deputy Inspector General and Chief Airport Security Officer of the Aviation Security Group Navi Mumbai.

Following the drill, a debriefing session was held where the participating agencies shared their observations, experiences, and key operational learnings.

The comprehensive exercise aimed to enhance situational preparedness, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and improve collective response capabilities to effectively tackle potential armed attack situations at vital national installations.
