JK BOPEE Successfully Conducts Common Entrance Test for BSc Nursing and Paramedical Courses Across J&K
JAMMU, APRIL 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) successfully conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology courses for the 2026-27 academic session today.
The high-stakes examination was held across 48 designated centers throughout the Union Territory, including 37 locations in the Kashmir Division and 11 in the Jammu Division.
An impressive 95.6 percent attendance rate was recorded, with 25,090 candidates appearing for the test out of a total of 26,237 registered applicants, reflecting the high demand for professional medical education in the region.
Under the guidance of BOPEE Chairperson Professor Minu Mahajan, the board coordinated extensively with institutional administrations and law enforcement agencies to ensure a seamless and transparent examination process.
Senior officials, including the Controller of Examinations and the Secretary of BOPEE, actively monitored the proceedings in both Srinagar and Jammu. The Chairperson extended gratitude to the divisional and district administrations, the General Administration Department, and the Director General of Police for providing essential security cover and frisking arrangements.
The successful execution of the entrance test was attributed to the collective efforts of the monitoring squads and the dedicated staff at the participating colleges and institutions.
