Indian Army Launches Motor Driving Cadre for Youth Empowerment in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, INDIAJuly 14, 2026 — As part of its continued commitment to community development and youth empowerment, the Dul Battalion of the Indian Army commenced a three-week Motor Driving Cadre under its Skill Development Initiative at Village Dul in Kishtwar. The training program is organized to provide unemployed local youth with essential motor-driving skills through structured theoretical and practical sessions conducted by qualified instructors.

Throughout the course, the 15 enrolled participants will receive comprehensive training in vehicle handling, road safety regulations, traffic rules, basic vehicle maintenance, and responsible driving practices. Designed to enhance the employability of the local youth, the initiative prepares them for viable livelihood opportunities in transport, logistics, and allied sectors. Local residents and community representatives have expressed strong appreciation for the Indian Army’s sustained efforts toward skill development, employment generation, and the overall socio-economic upliftment of remote areas, sharing their confidence that these initiatives will help young people become self-reliant and contribute to the region’s prosperity.
