Indian Army Hosts Civil-Military Meet with Local Leaders in Bihota, Doda

DODA, July 14, 2026 — As part of its continued efforts to strengthen civil-military cooperation, the Indian Army organized an interactive meet with local leaders of Marmat at Bihota on July 13, 2026. The session saw active participation from four Sarpanches and eight Panches representing key Panchayats across the Marmat area, including Mangota, Upper Bihota, Sarak, and Bihota. The meeting served as a collaborative platform to discuss community welfare and address the concerns of the local population.

During the interaction, military representatives and local leaders deliberated on essential issues concerning security, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. The Army encouraged the community leaders to openly share their challenges and assured them of its continued support in facilitating welfare initiatives to promote peace and stability in the region. The discussions also emphasized the values of cooperation, communal harmony, and active participation in nation-building.
