IGP Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti chairs crime and security review meeting in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 27: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti convened a high-level crime and security review meeting today at the Range Police Headquarters in Udhampur.

Attended by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Shiv Kumar Sharma, the SSP Udhampur, and various supervisory officers, the session focused on enhancing the quality of investigations for special reported cases.

The meeting also included a comprehensive evaluation of key security matters, including the progress of the Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan and the performance of the Emergency Response Support System.

During the session, the IGP stressed the importance of professional excellence and directed supervisory officers, particularly SDPOs, to personally visit crime scenes. He emphasized that thorough, impartial, and time-bound investigations are vital for a strong justice delivery system and for maintaining public trust.

The review highlighted that leveraging technology and ensuring precise investigative practices are top priorities for the district’s police force.

DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma further noted the necessity of robust supervision and accountability across all field units to effectively address emerging security challenges.

Officers were encouraged to adopt proactive strategies and utilize systems like the ERSS to improve public service delivery and emergency response.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to upholding law and order and ensuring the highest standards of public safety throughout the Jammu Zone.
