GANDERBAL ,AUGUST 06, 2026 — As part of comprehensive security preparedness for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2026, the Ganderbal Police executed a tactical joint mock drill at Wandhama Pandit Colony, focusing specifically on urban area room intervention strategies. The high-intensity operational exercise was conducted in close coordination with the Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and sister security agencies. The primary objective of the drill was to evaluate operational readiness, strengthen multi-agency synergy, and validate established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a swift, synchronized, and effective response to potential security contingencies in urban settings.
