Infrastructure Upgrade: Sanjay Seth Inaugurates Automated Multi-Level Parking Facility at Defence Offices Complex in New Delhi

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 05, 2026 — Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth inaugurated a state-of-the-art Multi-Level Car Parking Facility at the Defence Offices Complex on Africa Avenue, New Delhi, highlighting the Central Government’s commitment to upgrading urban infrastructure with world-class facilities. Addressing the gathering during the ceremony, Seth emphasized that leveraging advanced technology is key to tackling urban infrastructure bottlenecks in metropolitan areas, where land availability remains a critical constraint. He noted that modernizing facilities directly enhances workplace efficiency while driving a seamless transition from legacy infrastructure to futuristic, high-tech solutions.

Constructed at a total cost of ₹45 crore, the 14-storey multi-level parking structure incorporates fully automatic robotic (dolly type) technology designed to maximize space utilization on a limited footprint. The advanced system is 60% more space-efficient than conventional parking layouts and offers enhanced safety features, including comprehensive CCTV surveillance and modern fire safety systems. Crucially, the automated setup ensures minimal human intervention and guarantees zero vehicle emissions once a car enters the lift lobby, contributing to cleaner indoor air quality.

During the event, Seth commended the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for completing the project in a time-bound manner. He further lauded the agency for maintaining high standards of quality, convenience, and aesthetics across various recent government construction endeavors, including the MP Flats, Kartavya Bhawans, and the Executive Enclave.
