CISF takes over security control at Darbhanga airport
DARBHANGA, May 16, 2026The Central Industrial Security Force has officially taken charge of the security operations at Darbhanga Airport, an emerging aviation hub in North Bihar and a key center for the cultural heritage of Mithila.
With this development, Darbhanga has become the 72nd airport in the country, and the third in Bihar after Patna and Gaya, to be secured by the central security force.
This initiative is set to strengthen passenger safety, secure flight operations, and enhance overall aviation services in the region.
The Airports Authority of India continues its efforts to ensure foolproof security and seamless travel experiences for air passengers using the facility.
