Assam Rifles Honors Fallen Soldiers of Changsha Operation with Wreath Laying Ceremony in Lunglei

Lunglei, May 5:- The Lunglei Battalion of Assam Rifles organized a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at its Battalion Headquarters to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of eight bravehearts from the 23 Assam Rifles.

The event was held to honor the soldiers who lost their lives while combating terrorists during the Changsha operation in the Mon District of Nagaland on May 3, 2015. The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the courage and dedication displayed by the personnel in the line of duty.

During the tribute, the battalion paid respects to Warrant Officer Kamjang Kuki, Rifleman Biswa Sonowal, Rifleman Manjeet Singh, Rifleman Sajeevan S, Rifleman James Deb Barma, Rifleman Jerusalem Thara, Rifleman Tanik Lal Patel, and Rifleman Lunminlal Haokip.

All ranks in attendance observed a moment of silence to reflect on the bravery of the fallen soldiers and their commitment to national security.

The ceremony underscored the enduring legacy of the martyrs and the deep respect the force maintains for its heroes.
