ARTO Ganderbal Conducts Extensive Traffic Enforcement Drive, Multiple Challans Issued

Ganderbal,May 16,2026 :- Acting on the directions of the Transport Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir, the team of the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Ganderbal, led by ARTO Ganderbal Er. Arif Parvez Shah, conducted an extensive traffic enforcement drive across various areas of the district to ensure strict adherence to traffic regulations.

During the drive, officials inspected a large number of vehicles and issued several challans against violators for offences related to traffic rule violations and non-compliance with transport regulations. The checking operation focused on promoting road safety and maintaining traffic discipline in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, officials from the ARTO Ganderbal office started that such special enforcement drives are being carried out regularly to discourage habitual violators and create greater awareness among motorists regarding responsible driving practices.

They reiterated that violations of traffic norms not only endanger lives but also invite strict legal and financial consequences.

The department further emphasised that visible enforcement on roads plays a crucial role in ensuring safer commuting conditions for the public and strengthening compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act.

ARTO also appealed to commuters and transport operators to cooperate with enforcement agencies and follow all traffic rules in the interest of public safety.

The MVD Ganderbal reaffirmed its commitment towards promoting safer roads and taking action against violators to reduce accidents and improve overall traffic management in the district.
