Police Conduct Searches in Connection with UAPA Case Against Banned Organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat

Sopore,11 December :- As part of the ongoing investigation of Case FIR No. 10/2024 under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Sopore Police today conducted coordinated searches at multiple locations linked to members of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.

Searches were carried out at the residential houses and premises of the following individuals Zaffar Islam @ Yadullah Peer, S/O Abdul Rasheed Peer, R/O Dangerpora, Lateef Ahmad Kaloo, S/O Ghulam Nabi Kaloo, R/O Hanfia Colony, Arampora Sopore, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, S/O Mohammad Abdullah Malik, R/O Tawheed Bagh SoporeThe searches were conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, after obtaining valid search warrants from the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge UAPA, Sopore.

During the operation, relevant material and electronic devices were examined, and further procedures as mandated by law are being undertaken as part of the continuing investigation.*

Sopore Police reiterate their firm resolve to act against individuals associated with banned organisations and to dismantle networks attempting to disrupt peace and stability in the district.
