Army Athlete Subedar Arjun Pradhan Inspires Through Ultra Marathon Success

NEW DELHI, August 08, 2026 – Subedar Arjun Pradhan of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment has built an outstanding career as a soldier-athlete, demonstrating endurance and sportsmanship across national and international distance running events.

Since enlisting and completing basic military training in 2002, he has consistently represented the Indian Army and the nation in elite endurance competitions.His athletic achievements include securing a gold medal at the Services Cross Country Championship, representing India at the World Military Cross Country Championship, and securing a silver medal at the World Championship 50 km Ultra Marathon.

Additionally, he claimed gold at the high-altitude Tawang Marathon along with top finishes in several national and Asian running events.Alongside his personal competitive accomplishments, Subedar Arjun Pradhan has actively trained and mentored colleagues within his battalion, leading the team to consecutive victories in regional cross-country competitions and motivating young athletes through disciplined athletic pursuit.
