Counter Intelligence Kashmir Conducts Valley-Wide Raids in Terror Recruitment Case

SRINAGAR, August 08, 2026 – Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducted searches across multiple locations in the Kashmir Valley on Saturday as part of an investigation into the online glorification of terrorism and recruitment into terrorist organizations.
Official sources confirmed that the raids were carried out in several districts, including Baramulla, Shopian, Anantnag, Kupwara, and Bandipora.The operations stem from a case registered at Police Station Counter Intelligence Kashmir Srinagar under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
The investigation centers on allegations that online platforms were used to promote terrorism and influence individuals to join banned organizations. Searches were ongoing across the targeted locations as further details regarding the outcome of the raids remained awaited.
