Jammu Police SSP Chairs Crime Review Meeting to Enhance District Security
JAMMU, August 08, 2026 – Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Joginder Singh chaired a crime review meeting at District Police Lines Jammu alongside Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs to evaluate the overall law and order situation and track progress on active investigations across the district.
During the session, instructions were issued to accelerate case disposals and step up countermeasures against drug trafficking, bovine smuggling, illegal mining, theft, and organized criminal networks. Emphasis was placed on boosting conviction rates through high-quality evidence gathering, prompt execution of warrants, proactive preventive policing, and stronger community outreach.
With Independence Day approaching, police leadership mandated an increased ground presence across all jurisdictions, directing officers to conduct comprehensive Cordon and Search Operations and Selective Search Operations in sensitive areas.
The meeting concluded with directives reinforcing professional accountability, swift grievance resolution, and strict legal enforcement to safeguard public peace throughout the region.
