REASI, AUGUST 07, 2026 — Reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement in remote regions, the Indian Army organized a comprehensive Youth Career Counselling Programme at Dharmari in the Reasi district on August 06, 2026. The outreach initiative drew enthusiastic participation from local high school students, ambitious youth, educators, and community members, offering a dedicated platform to explore dynamic professional pathways and higher educational avenues.
During the interactive sessions, qualified army officers delivered tailored guidance to students in Classes X, XI, and XII to help them make informed academic choices. The curriculum covered recruitment opportunities within the Indian Armed Forces, higher education options, skill development initiatives, vocational training programs, government jobs, and strategies for competitive examinations. Mentors encouraged attendees to identify personal strengths and develop competitive skill sets so they can actively contribute to nation-building and the socio-economic progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
The community expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that the counseling drive bridged critical information gaps for youth living in remote areas while deepening the bond of mutual trust between the armed forces and local residents. The event concluded with an open question-and-answer session where participants resolved career-related doubts, followed by a joint pledge from military personnel and community leaders to continuously collaborate toward a brighter, self-reliant future for the region’s youth.
