Indian Army Conducts Health and Veterinary Camp in Remote Kishtwar Village

KISHTWAR, JULY 29 — Demonstrating its commitment to supporting remote and underserved communities, the Indian Army organized a comprehensive Medical and Veterinary Camp at Horna village in the Palmar area of Kishtwar district on July 29, 2026. The outreach initiative addressed vital healthcare needs for local residents and provided essential assistance to livestock owners in a region with limited medical infrastructure.

During the camp, a total of 206 villagers—comprising 85 men, 95 women, and 26 children—received medical check-ups, specialized consultations, free medicines, and guidance on preventive healthcare, hygiene, and nutrition. Simultaneously, veterinary specialists examined 106 cattle, distributing treatments and advising owners on animal nutrition and disease prevention. Local residents expressed deep gratitude for bringing essential healthcare services directly to their doorstep, further strengthening the bond of trust and cooperation between the armed forces and the community.
