Major Arms Cache Seized in Kulgam Joint Operation, Security Forces striking Blow to Terror Ecosystem

KULGAM, JULY 29 — In a major breakthrough, security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition during a joint Search and Anti-Domination Operation (SADO) and orchard sweep in the Tantrypora–Sursnoo area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs generated by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint team comprising the Kulgam Police, 34 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the 18th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a targeted search across the Tantrypora–Sursnoo orchards.

According to an official post by District Police Kulgam on X (formerly Twitter), the successful recovery has dealt a significant blow to the local terror ecosystem. Officials confirmed that all recovered weapons and war-like stores have been seized, and a detailed investigation has been initiated to trace the origins and intended recipients of the supply.
