DGP Jammu Kashmir Inaugurates State of the Art Gymnasium at SOG Srinagar
Srinagar, July 29: Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat inaugurated a state-of-the-art gymnasium at the Special Operations Group facility in Srinagar, reaffirming the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police toward the health and physical fitness of its personnel.
The ceremony was attended by Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone V.K. Birdi, DIG Central Kashmir Range Rajiv Pandey, and SSP Srinagar G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, alongside other senior officers. Equipped with modern fitness equipment to support structured physical training, the facility was established as part of ongoing efforts to boost the welfare, morale, and operational readiness of the force.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP highlighted the vital role of physical fitness in policing, noting that a healthy force is better prepared to tackle professional challenges and deliver efficient public service. He emphasized that investing in health and wellness directly enhances operational efficiency, resilience, and overall effectiveness.
