J&K CM Omar Abdullah Meets Public and Industry Delegations to Resolve Pressing Issues

SRINAGAR, JULY 14, 2026: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held a series of meetings with multiple public and industry delegations at the Civil Secretariat today to address local grievances and boost regional economic sectors. During the interactions, a delegation from the Bat Manufacturers Association Kashmir, led by President Fayaz Ahmad Dar, sought government intervention and promotional support to ensure the sustained growth of the local cricket bat manufacturing industry.

Additionally, Srinagar International Airport Taxi Stand Drivers Union President Riyaz Thakur raised critical concerns regarding airport taxi operations, while a delegation from the Hot Mix Plant Owners Association Kashmir, headed by Bashir Ahmad Khan, outlined the operational challenges facing their sector. Representatives from the Industrial Estate Pampore also met with the Chief Minister to highlight specific infrastructure and logistical hurdles affecting their zone.

Assuring the representatives of prompt government action, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah listened to the grievances and affirmed that all genuine demands would be thoroughly reviewed in consultation with relevant departments for timely resolution. Later in the day, a delegation from ICICI Bank also called on the Chief Minister to discuss strategic collaborations aimed at expanding financial inclusion and scaling up Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir.
