CISF and RPF DGs review security for Shri Amarnath Yatra
SRINAGAR, Jul 14 — Central Industrial Security Force Director General Praveer Ranjan and Railway Protection Force Director General Sonali Mishra inspected railway tracks and key stations from Srinagar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to review security arrangements for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
The high-level inspection covered critical infrastructure, including the strategic Chenab and Anji rail bridges, to evaluate operational preparedness.
The two DGs received detailed briefings on force deployment, multi-layered security protocols, access control measures, contingency planning, and inter-agency coordination.
They also interacted with personnel deployed on the ground, providing crucial guidance to further strengthen the security framework and ensure a safe pilgrimage.
