REASI, JULY 13, 2026: The Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Talwara officially commenced the training of its 18th Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC) batch today, marking the formal induction of newly recruited Constables into the police service. The inaugural programme began with Assistant Principal (Outdoor) Vishal Manhas introducing the indoor and outdoor training faculty, followed by an official opening ceremony led by the Principal of STC Talwara, MY Kichloo.
Welcoming the fresh trainees, Principal Kichloo congratulated them on joining the Police Department and emphasized the vital importance of maintaining discipline, integrity, and unwavering professionalism throughout their careers. He further stressed that teamwork, leadership, continuous learning, and a dedication to public service are critical in shaping capable and effective law enforcement personnel.
As part of their onboarding, the recruits were thoroughly briefed on the comprehensive training schedule, core institutional values, and overall program objectives. Recognizing the evolving nature of modern policing, the session also featured a specialized awareness seminar on cybercrime, which covered essential digital responsibilities, cyber hygiene practices, and strategies to protect against emerging cyber threats. The significant event was attended by several key officials, including Assistant Principal (Indoor) Shahid Mustafa, Deputy SP Estates & Security Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Principal (Outdoor) Vishal Manhas, and Assistant Principal (Administration) Khudmukhtar Dev, all of whom will oversee the comprehensive development of the new batch.
