Shri Amarnath Yatra 13th batch leaves Jammu for Baltal and Pahalgam

JAMMU, Jul 14 — The 13th batch of the Amarnath Yatra departed from Jammu base camp on Tuesday for the twin base camps of Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir. A total of 5,335 pilgrims left in a convoy of 232 vehicles.
The breakdown includes 1,736 pilgrims bound for the Baltal axis in a convoy of 99 vehicles that departed at 2:42 am, while 3,599 pilgrims set off for the Pahalgam axis in 133 vehicles at 3:10 am.
The departing batch comprises 3,911 males, 1,288 females, 21 children, 90 sadhus, 24 sadvis, and one transgender individual.
The transport fleet facilitating the journey includes 138 buses, 36 medium motor vehicles, 57 light motor vehicles, and one two-wheeler.
Security forces are escorting both convoys to ensure a smooth and safe transit to the base camps.
