DC Udhampur Reviews Mission Poshan; Emphasises Strengthening Anganwadi Services

UDHAMPUR, JULY 09, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, chaired a comprehensive review meeting today to evaluate the performance and operational efficiency of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Department across the district. The high-level meeting saw participation from key officials, including Programme Officer (PO) Poshan Subash Dogra, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, and all Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), alongside other relevant departmental stakeholders.

During the session, PO Poshan Subash Dogra delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the current status, infrastructure, and ongoing developmental initiatives of Anganwadi Centres operating throughout Udhampur. The Deputy Commissioner conducted a thorough assessment of critical metrics, including infrastructure availability, progress under Mission Poshan deliverables, and the status of identity enrolment protocols under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY).

To ensure the highest standards of service delivery, DC Minga Sherpa directed CDPOs and supervisors to conduct frequent, mandatory field visits to monitor Anganwadi operations closely. Additionally, the CDPOs were instructed to organize localized awareness camps to maximize public outreach and streamline the implementation of welfare schemes. Concluding the meeting, the PO Poshan was tasked with compiling a comprehensive registry of all district Anganwadi Centres to facilitate robust future planning and strategic monitoring.
