COAS General Dhiraj Seth visits forward areas along Line of Control to review security
POONCH, July 9, 2026:- General Dhiraj Seth, Chief of the Army Staff, visited forward areas along the Line of Control in Poonch, Rajouri, and Sunderbani to review the prevailing security dynamics and the counter-insurgency grid of the 16 Corps (White Knight Corps).
During his transit to these sensitive sectors, the Army Chief was briefed extensively on the evolving security environment, operational deployments, surveillance architecture, field innovations, and integrated operational readiness.
He also assessed ongoing infrastructure developments alongside the formation’s sustained efforts to empower the communities of India’s frontier villages through various people-centric initiatives.
Concluding his comprehensive field evaluation, the Chief of the Army Staff commended all ranks for their operational excellence and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the borders.
He exhorted the deployed troops to remain mission-focused and operationally agile while continuing to strive for excellence in one of the country’s most demanding security environments.
