NHAI completes Ramsoo viaduct and Digdole-Panthyal tunnel on National Highway for Shri Amarnath Yatra

SRINAGAR, JULY 01 — National Highway Authorities of India has completed the 810-meter-long viaduct at Ramsoo and a 3.5 km tunnel from Digdole to Panthyal in the Ramban district.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced on X that these vital infrastructure projects will open to traffic on July 3, just ahead of the Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.The newly constructed structures directly bypass landslide-prone stretches of the critical Ramban-Banihal section.

This development will ensure safer, more reliable, all-weather connectivity and significantly ease travel for commuters.

Expressing gratitude for the infrastructure upgrade, Singh thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for prioritizing the convenience and safety of the Amarnath Shrine devotees.
