Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026: Samba District Administration Welcomes First Batch of Devotees with Elaborate Arrangements

SAMBA, JULY 01, 2026 — The District Administration of Samba officially launched this year’s annual pilgrimage by extending a warm, traditional welcome to the inaugural batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 pilgrims at Tapyal. Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan, alongside Senior Superintendent of Police Anuj Kumar, personally received the devotees, offering their greetings and best wishes for a safe and comfortable journey. Local residents and prominent citizens joined the reception, highlighting the region’s long-standing tradition of hospitality as the pilgrims paused before resuming their onward journey towards Jammu under robust security arrangements.

To ensure a seamless experience for the devotees, the District Administration has collaborated closely with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, religious langar organizations, and various stakeholder departments. This coordinated effort has established comprehensive facilities across the district, covering essential services such as boarding, lodging, healthcare, sanitation, and tight security. The arriving pilgrims expressed their deep gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Samba District Administration, and the Shrine Board for the high standard of facilities. The welcoming event was also attended by key officials, including Additional District Development Commissioner Champa Devi Thakur, SDM Ghagwal KJS Bali, senior civil and police officers, security forces, and religious leaders.
