Lieutenant Governor Expresses Gratitude to Prime Minister and Union Minister on Completion of Ramsoo Viaduct and Digdole-Panthyal Tunnel on NH-44
JAMMU JULY 01, 2026 — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari following the completion of two major infrastructure projects on National Highway-44.
The newly finished assets include an 810-meter-long viaduct near Ramsoo in the Ramban district and the 3.5-kilometer AT-03 tunnel connecting Digdole to Panthyal. In his statement, the Lieutenant Governor commended the central leadership for transforming the region’s highway and road connectivity, noting that these crucial projects will secure smooth, all-weather transit for local residents, tourists, freight, and security forces.
Furthermore, the infrastructure bypasses highly landslide-prone stretches, ensuring a significantly safer and more seamless journey for pilgrims participating in the Amarnath Yatra 2026. Both landmark projects are officially scheduled to open for traffic on July 3, 2026.
