Joint Security Drill Enhances Counter Terrorist Readiness at Delhi Airport
NEW DELHI, June 27, 2026 — A joint counter terrorist mock exercise was successfully conducted at the Central Industrial Security Force unit at Delhi Airport to evaluate coordinated response mechanisms and overall operational preparedness.
The security drill involved active participation from multiple key agencies, including the Central Industrial Security Force, Delhi Police, National Security Guard, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, Delhi Fire Service, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Teams from Medanta Hospital and various airport stakeholders also took part, responding in a unified manner according to established emergency contingency procedures.
The exercise effectively strengthened inter-agency cooperation, validated existing security protocols, and reinforced the airport’s preparedness for swift and efficient crisis management in the future.
