Tragic Wall Collapse in Sunderbani Claims Lives of Mother and Daughter

Rajouri 03 September :- In a tragic rain-related incident, a mother and her young daughter lost their lives when a wall of their house collapsed in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri district. The accident occurred during the late hours of the night spanning September 2 and 3, as heavy, unrelenting rains pounded the region.

Official reports indicate that the incessant downpour caused the structural failure, which led to the wall giving way and trapping the two victims under the resulting debris. Local rescue teams, alongside police personnel, were quickly dispatched to the scene. After efforts to retrieve them, the bodies were recovered.

The deceased have been identified as Sita Devi, wife of Rattan Lal, and her daughter Sonia Rattan Lal, both residents of Tanda Kangri in Sunderbani.

In the wake of this tragedy, local authorities have issued a renewed advisory, urging all residents to exercise extreme caution. The continuous rainfall has significantly increased the risk of further damage to vulnerable structures across the area.
