Vehicular Movement Suspended in Doda Amid Landslides, Inclement Weather

Bhaderwah, Sept 2: Continuous rains across Doda district have triggered multiple landslides and road blockages, prompting authorities to suspend vehicular movement on key routes until Tuesday morning.According to Doda Police, the Nashri–Udhampur stretch remains blocked due to landslides, while several other roads in the district are facing recurring disruptions despite regular clearance operations.

In view of the weather warning and the present road conditions, no vehicular traffic shall be allowed from Assar towards Batote or Udhampur/Jammu, as well as on the Doda–Thathri–Gandoh road, till the morning of September 3, subject to weather clearance,” police officials said.Authorities have further advised the general public to avoid unnecessary travel on these vulnerable routes and extend cooperation with the police and administration. A fresh review of the situation is expected tomorrow morning.
