Manipur DGP inaugurates new canteens and gym for police personnel at Mantripukhri

IMPHAL, May 16, 2026 — Director General of Police Manipur, along with senior police officers, inaugurated two new canteens and a fitness gym at the New Police Headquarters premises in Mantripukhri today.

The newly opened canteens, featuring Popa Bakes and Cakes and Ayi’s Bakehouse, are set to cater to the daily needs of the officers and personnel of the Manipur Police.

Conducted in a simple ceremony, these infrastructure additions were undertaken as part of the general welfare measures for the state police force.

The initiative focuses on promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and the overall health of the personnel by providing accessible recreational and health facilities within their primary workspace.
