Jammu and Kashmir Weather Forecast Predicts Dry Days with Evening Thundershowers

SRINAGAR, May 15, 2026 — The latest weather update for Jammu and Kashmir indicates a week of predominantly dry conditions interspersed with short spells of rain and thunderstorms.

On May 15 and 16, the region is expected to experience dry weather during the daylight hours, with a high possibility of thundershowers developing across various parts of the union territory during the late afternoon, evening, or night.

A similar pattern will continue through May 17 and 18, though the potential for evening thundershowers is expected to be limited to only a few isolated spots.As the week progresses, the likelihood of precipitation increases slightly on May 19, with thundershowers possible starting from the early morning hours, although these are predicted to be short-lived.

For May 20 and 21, dry weather will prevail for most of the day, though the chance of intermittent thundershowers remains in the forecast. Residents are advised that these weather patterns may be accompanied by gusty winds, hailstorms, or brief intense showers in certain locations.
